    Default Saw a fawn chasing a .....

FLATBED truck the other day right down the middle of a gravel road !
When we first saw it as it went by I thought it was crazy ole terrier looking farm dog !
Then my wife and buddy said holy heck its a fawn chasing a TRUCK !
Sure enough it was a pretty young fawn and it went by about the same speed as the truck about 30 yards behind it , ran a long ways until it was out of sight down the road ....
WHY you might ask , no clue here and to make it worse my wife wanted to go "rescue" it !
I told her this about that , if you never tried to ketch a fawn before , take it from me , they are for sure FASTER than a 2 legged person , this much is for sure ....
Saw its mom show up looking for it about 10 minutes later and hope for sure she found that little thing before dark . Made me kinda sad thinking it might have run to far for mom to find it , think it was one I saw near there about a week before , that one was acting all real crazy as well and ran about 150 yards when it saw me one way and then back about that far when I passed by it ....one thing for certain ,a crazy running every which way deer is likely not long lived in these parts .

Our yard is 9 acres to mow and power lines planted especially for deer. Plus other acreage of browse. I don’t mind.

I have plenty of those for them to eat. They would rather eat my tomatoes and strawberries

They sure like to browse our alfalfa not uncommon to see 40-50 every evening early this spring. They like to drop fawns in it too, ducks, turkeys, pheasants all like to nest in it too, first cutting running the haybine can be very discouraging

yep , i bet harvest time on alfalfa can produce a few victims , seen that a few times , just yesterday we seen buzzards on "something" that the brush hog folks hit a day or so ago .
