My son said turkey hunters in his area reported seeing some fawns this last week.

They tend to be curious when they are that small. Had them out in the fields playing in the freshly disked dirt. Not a bit scared of the tractor

A newborn was in my backyard on Sunday morning. Suckling his Mama while she licked his rear. I was riding the mower and called to my wife. She crouched behind some bushes and watched. Then her leg got sore so she stood up. That was when Mama spotted her and started posturing. Then she gave the baby the signal and off it went like it was on fire. Man that thing had some speed. The Mama followed it into the weeds. Last evening Mama was nibbling around but the baby stayed hidden.
Maybe they will bite this one……

it's that time of year. saw more large groups of deer just a month ago while scouting and then pretending I was going to hunt turkey. didn't make it out of car so I guess I was really bird watching but this is our deer area so great to see so many knowing the population is preggers mostly would about double when the little ones come out.
