we have sent a few to their maker with high brass duck loads back when , sometimes it really looks great when you skin them .
centerfire cartridges have a tendency to really ruin them .

keep in mind this , my wildlife tax exemption includes the removal of bobcats , coyotes , hogs , skunks , racoons and possums . they fall under the predator control program and them folks hold my feet to the fire making sure we do as it says in them papers .
the fella that checks it every year ,said straight out no matter how gruesome the image , send them all in as proof in that area of the guidelines .

it is not all that well known even in Texas , it is a county tax exception that was developed by the state. so it sort of is like this , your regular taxes you pay on property you own in this state ie property tax can be exempted from the regular tax rates for a few reasons .
one it is homesteaded and that keeps it from going up more than 10% a year .
another is agricultural exception for those that farm ie raise livestock or crops and it is around a 90% reduced tax rate !
then there is an extension of the ag version that is a wildlife ag version , it is complicated and complex and not easy to do for the most part and you must have had a previous ag version to move over to the wildlife version for at least 5 previous years .
the next part is the acreage must be a certain size min. to do it as well.
there are many forms of wildlife you can "help" though on the list and they list what you need to be doing on the property to fall under the guidelines in a long form .
in the end you pay about diddly for the property tax though and for sure it is a blessing towards the wildlife and owner of the property .
in our case we list several species of interest to help "umbrella" us so they have less of a target to shoot at ,if they want to try to tell us we are not meeting the criteria .
almost all the various wildlife categories are in need of protection to some degree from predation . so we trap them and blaze them and document the removals and so on and so forth ....
