Cabelas in Lexington Ky has all kinds of ammo, pretty much any caliber you need! It’s been that way for a while, mainly because the prices are double what they were before covid!

I have managed to find 22lr and 22 magnum lately. But it has been spotty at best. 9mm has become available lately mainly because the asking price has outstripped the desire to buy it.
5.56 is the same way.

You got that right or maybe even triple! I found 3 boxes of 30-30 ammo last weekend and thought I would get one box. Got to the checkout and the price was $59.99 for a box of 20. The guy told me that if I wanted them, I better get em because they wouldn’t be there by closing time.
I put em back on the shelf. No thank ye.
For that price I could hand load a 100 even at todays primer prices

My shooting arc was 30-30 birthday gift, lost in a house fire.
270, bought off an uncle, it burned up in a house fire, finally have settled on a 6.5 Grendel that will do all I want.

passed on my most deadly marlin 30 30 down to my grandson a year or so ago , gave it to his dad , hopefully he will get to use the ole beast someday , almost lost a hand made 22 my dad built me when i was 5 in a house fire ,but that ole springfield 22 is one tough puppy dog , charred it good and distressed the original finish terribly , but dads hand checkering and the stock ,survived the ordeal somehow
