When our lab Zoe was still alive she never made a peep unless she felt my wife was threatened in any way. She was a one of a kind rescue dog.

LadyBug doesn't want anything near the house. A knock at the door is met with an explosive German Shepherd bark. . The delivery folks look around when she explodes from hearing them set a package on the porch

many moons ago , around 50 of them ,prime bobcats brought 85 and yotes about 50 right here in dfw ....
we used to really hurt the fur bearing crew back then , we would load a john boat with 3 car batteries ....
    a q beam , a 243 , a shotgun , and a 22 .......
3 or 4 miles of river and we would have a boat plum full of furs .....
good money for late teens people and fun to beat the band as well .
coons were 25 on the large prime ones ...
    minks almost nada 5 , ringtail cats around10 .....
beavers were cheap stuff to at around 15 to 20 .....

Trapped lots of fur as a kid.
I remember racoons bring 35 at the best.
We would cast net Shad in the fall to freeze for bait, for trapping.

Oh yes I remember all them moons ago well.I called in and shot my first red fox in Dec 1976 when I was 14 with my 9422 Winchester lever action 22 with a 3x7 bushnell scope....Dad gave me a ride to the fur buyer, fox brought $52 in the round, from the fur buyers we stopped at the local Coast-Coast store and I bought a brick of 22 Remington Mohawks with some of my proceeds for 9.99...I was one happy kid!

Those were the days. Now it would take 3 foxes to pay for that box of shells
