Default Deer eating berry leaves but...

I don't care. They leave the berries alone and make it easier to find the berries! Seems like the berries are growing faster too. Maybe because the berries don't have to compete with the leaves for nutrients? The deer did get my tree lily though! At least they let it bloom this year before they stripped it to the stem

They have been eating the heck out of the tomato plants. They like the tips and the blooms

Sometimes a blessing, sometimes a curse, eh? Nothing prettier than a fawn or a venison medallion

Very true. I have bee threatening to put one in the freezer. The German Shepherd will bark her head off at them when I am walking her. And nothing. Got to get within 10 feet of them before they stop eating and start to move. They worked the green beans over this year. They kept them mowing down. The garden is inside a 5 foot electric fence. Didn't stop them at all

I'm only one in my subdivision with tomato garden with the deer population we have and woods and it's because I have a five foot fence but keep it small and the deer won't jump into a small space tho they can. 10 foot by 5 and I have a dozen plants growing up and they only trim the very top of them which is fine. I have ton of tomatoes coming up and already harvested bunch of beef steaks, early girls and cherry/plums on my deck.

I had the tomatoes planted in the raised beds at the deck. Last year they walked up 4 steps, stood on the deck and ate the tomato plants that had grown through the railings. I have counted as many as 13 in field. There is a ribbon of woods at the back of the property. They use that as a travel corridor for sure.
