Co-op sells it in bulk by the cash price that day. Today is $6.88 a bushel (56 lbs). I have the tops cut off of 2 of the blue plastic 55 gal drums and they each hold 300 lbs. Thinking about getting an ibc tote or grain cart this year.

I have drums I store the feed in . I looked into a 2000 pound tote. Evrywhere wanted to charge freight on it so it wasn't any cheaper.

I would have assumed you used the traps as well. You get a text alert waking you in bed. You look at the cell phone live video feed. Then push the button that drops the gate and seals their fate. Of course you never get them all and once seen, the traps become off limits to the smart ones. That is when you have to get in your helicopter and fly around at night and stuff. Thermal sights.

I got invited to go on a hog hunt. The plan was to release the hounds and run after them with nothing but a Bowie knife. Let the dogs corner a boar and then we were to go in and finish them. If I remember correctly, I had to stay home that day.

Pigs are tough little guys and can fend for themselves pretty good. Make sure to cook everything thoroughly.
Maybe they will bite this one……

GeRobert Baden-Powell hunted hogs with a spear. If I remember correctly they let the hog charge and impel itself on the spear. I also remember him quoted as say taking a hog any other way was down right unsporting. That requires intestinal fortitude to say the least

we aint into to all that serious hog stuff , we just shoot at them and run simple traps with a gravity door , have hunted them one time off horseback with pit bulls and some kinda running dogs ,that there stuff is for them folks that like doctor bills and vet bills , cornered boars are flat out tough mean and fast .
