I stopped at Simmons Sporting Goods in Bastrop, Louisiana yesterday. Lots of ammo & guns, but for me, I found no 12 gauge #6 shot high brass for squirrel hunting. They did have some in duck steel shot, but I can’t pay $25 per box…..not until I just have to!

I really hope the shotgun shells come back before dove season. Having a really hard time sourcing steel shot dove loads, starting to get a bit nervous that I wont be able to get a case before the season starts! Even lead loads are hard to find unless you want to pay $12-15 a box for 12ga target loads.

Was at Cabelas yesterday and they had enormous amounts of 223, 5.56, 22lr, 40s&w and 9mm, but the prices were out the roof! Couple of guys there just shaking their heads, as did I! If we stop buying at these prices, prices will start to come down.

I completely agree with that statement. That is what I have been seeing here. The longer it sits on the self the more the price will drop

Doesn't seem like a bad price. It looks to be at least 200 in that box
