here tell groundhog is good myself , up north when i was kid there were recipes floating around for them.
seen kids hunt armadillos with sticks and dogs before , said they were taking them home for dinner and had one in each hand when they came out of the brush on a dirt road in front of me in east Texas .

that there sounds like something i might have done as well . i had a real big boar come after me one day that was in a leg hold trap and i said a quick prayer the chain didnt break as i got off a shot , he was on 2 legs and trying to pull out or break the chain to get at me .
made me have a new respect for them that day as well ,some one got the polaroid my nanny took of me holding that coon by the back legs because as her and pappy said , We aint never seen one that big !

Possum on the half shell. Growing up in South Alabama those things are everywhere. Seen a few on the side of the road lately in Southeast Tennessee.

possum is one greasy as a pig critter , beavers are much the same when skinned , watched a show last year where some fella ate a beaver ,said the tail was the best part
back when i read a book about eating wildlife , it included bobcats and foxes and muskrats . must say i will have to pass on all the above
p.s. my wife said her dad loved to eat armadillo ....

Them armadillos are some ugly critters

yep i read that as well and never ate one myself , not my thing ,but have handled a bunch of them that went down in the line of battle and still feel somewhat normal .....
