    Default Pheasant tracks


    Had some fresh snow last night and decided to do some bird hunting this morning. I live in central illinois and we have a decent bird population. Nothing great, but enough to get a few quality hunts each year. My Brittany, Daisy, sure loves it!

    Awesome pics, great looking dog. Rarely see any pheasants here unless they are escaped stocked birds.

    Thank you. These were wild birds, but I’m fortunate to have a pen raised pheasant farm 15 minutes from my house. The owner calls me when he has groups of guys come in to hunt that don’t have a dog and want to hunt behind one. It’s great work for the dog and keeps her hunting skills sharp.

    Fun times for sure!
    I love tracking in the snow something we did quite a bit back in my younger days! Was Usually quail or rabbit but sure was fun !

    i dont actually miss freexing weather much , but i do miss chasing them ringenecks

    We had Brits years ago, still my favorite.

    That's awesome! I grew up pheasant and quail hunting in Nebraska. Been long time since I have been, sure miss it! Nothing like hunting behind good dogs.

    Hunted pheasants in South Dakota for 2 straight years about 12 years ago with my last Brittany. So many birds, I wouldn’t have believed it without seeing it. South Dakota made great memories for me to.
