    Default My wife and kiddo

I knew going into the hunt this year a few bucks that I really wanted a crack at .
But I also knew one for sure that really didnt belong in the herd .
Sure enough we did a family hunt and low and behold guess who came in .
So mister big bruiser 8 went to the freezer and all the pretty racks are safe from me .
Sure was good times sharing a buck hunt with the family .
they been on a few doe hunts with me ,but never an only a buck hunt .
The little one wants to take a deer and we are working our way to it ,
many moons ago i built up a 223 with a bull barrel and a rainbow laminated stock .
    it has a 3 x 10 on top and a 100% ZERO recoil .
she only shot a 22 her VERY first time this trip .
we might get to use it this year on a deer but probably not
not sure if we can close the gap that fast
but to be sure i am pretty sure she wants to harvest a deer
sure is fun taking the family with ya
sharing a KABOOM is good stuff

Same here Outlaw! God is great and is such a blessing to have your family share in the experience. It is nice when you see a buck you want to cull and he is still such a solid uniform dark rack which really make good euro mounts. Leave the ones with better potential to grow into something better. good work. Love that you have a special gun all set up for your girl with zero recoil! Sounds like time to whackadoe or another buck with ugly rack or one of those lil piggies that eat up your corn.

Great harvest! I highly recommend the 350 legend for kids especially in AR platform. Recoil is very mild. From what I’ve been reading is 20% less recoil and 20% more penetration than a .243. I shoot 180gr PowerPoints out of it and 200 yards isn’t a problem. My 4.5 year old boy can shoot his he weighs 48lbs so not a big kid.

Nice buck harvest. Love it that it was a family outing with a successful harvest. Congratulations to you all.

i built the rifle for my older daughter when she was this age 20 plus years ago . its a single shot youth version 223 new england arms i ordered built to my specs back then .
to date not an animal it has hit has run off and its got several deer and a few turkey to its credit
and when i say ZERO recoil i mean you can lay it on the bench and pull the trigger and it wont budge a hair .
plus to say its accurate is an understatement , dont think i own a weapon that will outshoot it .
and even at 8 she is only 60 lbs and to be sure not as tough as most boys
