Default Black Bart meets the Fat Boys

Went to our place yesterday for the rifle opener .
saw a ton of deer and a few I "almost" want to eat .
Almost got a marvelous video of a 4 year old ,maybe 5 year old buck trying to stand down a pretty good size boar hog .
the buck was at a feeder when the hog came in and actually bowed up on him and advanced a few steps towards the hog head on at about 20 feet apart !
the buck backed down at about 10 feet and hog never slowed its pace .
the buck walked away really calm and a few minutes or so later ....
as you might have imagined ....KABOOM in the head and the fall down kicking in a circle barn dance commenced .
i was pretty sure it was time to get out of the blind ,but my bud said he was covered up with deer at his blind so i sat a bit longer .
so sit i did and about 20 or 25 minuted later here comes a black and white hog on the same trail the first came in on .
he trots in and sees his buddy laying there and has that priceless look on his face as he locked up .....of UH OH !
starts to run off he does and broadside at about out of my shooting lane i gave him a good squeal ....
he locks right back again and as you can imagine ....KABOOM AGAIN in the head and the cirlce barn dancing goes right back to it .....
Now mind you i didnt really want to whack hogs ,but when in Rome dont ya know ....
Black Bart is one deadly machine i tell ya , i love that remington 700 30 06
makes me one happy US citizen to own such a fine weapon .
Bart will flat out shoot straight and make ya proud .
    KABOOM is the word ...
p.s. the second hog kicked so long i did a bino video of it barn dancing with my cell phone ...its on my you tube channel

Nicely done! I’m a fan of the .06 myself. Little more recoil, but it usually only takes one!

Well done my brother. Starting now, I'll bet it's gonna to be ham, bacon and venison for days to come at the Ketchn house.
I'll bet you have lots of freezer space for the fall and winter and all that stockin' up on awesome Texas bounty.
Knowin' you... I'm sure you share lots with friends, neighbors and those in need too around your parts.

i give it away for the most part to the less fortunate
we keep a backstrap or 2 once in while and or a ham
sure are fun target practice i must admit
i have a few buds that quit hunting deer and only hunt hogs now
