Default Young One's First Crossbow Kill

After having a doe and good 8pt duck her bolt earlier this season my youngest has been determined to get one with the crossbow. It was in the 70's yesterday and not ideal conditions for hunting but since she was out of school she insisted on going hunting. Of course dad could not say no... We make the drive and get settled in the blind and nothing is moving. Even though we were still having fun in the blind I was getting a little discouraged at the deer movement. After sitting in the blind about 2 hours it was starting to get dark. I look up and her walks out a doe out of the tall grass. I tell her just to sit tight until it gets in the field and starts eating. But instead of eating it just walks straight across the field and out of our shooting window. I was like, great job dad. But then I look back to the left and here comes another. This time I told her she better get up and ready. It about got out of the shooting window before she got the triggered pulled. At this point I could not see the deer and was relying on her. She said "I hit that one dad, it was lit up (nock) right behind the shoulder". Sure enough, ended up being a perfect shot.

And Scout go to go on another short track (#5) but she pulled me all the way to it.

Young daughter following in her sisters footsteps. She now wants to shoot a regular bow because the older daughter has never shot one with a regular bow.

That's actually my dad in the pic with my daughter and the dog. Makes it even better for me.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
