    Default 9 10 11

    but no 12 .....
there seems to be 5 or 6 , 8 points in there
    2 10 points 2 9 nine points the one 11
and one 7 , we did have a small 6 but he seems to have gone astray .
over the time we have owned this little place we have not seen many small bucks .
not sure why there are not more young ones around .
i wondered the first year why and still dont see many in the 1.5 range .
one year there seemed to be a few younger age class hanging around and we even had a spike .
intersting mix , i imagine alot of the local population spend a fair amount of time in the woodlot across the pasture . there isnt much in the way of thickets out there in cattle pasture country .

    Nice looking groceries!
12’s are hard to come by at our place.

I feel sorry for you, no small bucks! I need the young, dumb ones or I'd never see any.

The bucks at our place seem to be all in the same league on the smart factor .
The 2 bucks on the right in that photo you can about set your clock to .
They come in to that feeder daily a few minutes after it slings corn most of the time

Those are some good deer. We have been looking into getting some automatic feeders, just haven't pulled the trigger on them yet.

feeders here in texas are an integral part of getting these deer in decent range for a harvest .
without one they are fairly unpredictable and often show up hundreds of yards away from where you patterned them days before .
cant tell you the number of hunts i have been on here without a feeder and had the buck i wanted show up 400 yards away from where he was 3 days in row prior to that .
the one problem with feeders is the nuisance wildlife that comes into them .

Awesome deer! And terrible problem to have with not many young bucks... Still been checking into some public land for my daughter to hunt. I may be hitting you up with some questions in the next few months.

we will be putting in the water and electric this weekend , hopefully soon i will have the place ready for visitors to enjoy it with me .
dont have many does there and have lots of pigs , and for sure more than a fair number of antlered deer .
they run alot of cool youth hunts in my area , the corp of eng. has some real good ones by me .
and the state parks here run them as well ,with a high success on harvest ratios
