i think well over normal for sure in that area , i thought the first time i seen it he is in the 20 inch range i am pretty sure
one of my buds wanted to know how big those deer are to better gauge his width
the ten with him when he turns his head is really wide as well
we think maybe because of our plan to take only one deer a year out there it is beginning to show results
i told my wife never mind eater bucks this year , she said get a fat young one last year .
i want to take an older tough one this year
i have at least 3 different ones i am seeing that will fit that bill , but to be sure that really wide 9 tops the list currently

    Doesn’t look like any mass.
That’s one at my place we would say. Maybe next year.
Of course next year never gets here, or rarely.

Keep in mind, I haven’t been around those Texas deer, I could be way off base for the area.

I just recently had water and electric run to my little farm. 1100 ft of wire, conduit, and water line, plus the backhoe operator. The bill from that stopped my heart for a few seconds!

they dont seem to carry much mass in most cases out there , typical of most hill country deer
some of the heavier racks in our area are where there is lots of agriculture
my area only raises cattle , no crops to speak of
and to be sure i would go broke feeding them protein
and on my little 40 plus acres i am pretty sure my neighbors would whack the real big ones
