That pretty much sums up happy times....except for the mangy dog!
And as much as I love dogs , I hate a free range mangy one hunting around my feeders in the middle of nowhere . To make matters worse she is likely going to or already has mated with a coyote . Coydogs are really bad news , they have a lot less fear of humans and grow to wolf size in some cases .
It is a shame there are so many irresponsible humans in this world . I wont preach on to terribly much and I thought I heard a dog about 300 yards away last visit hunting something pretty hard . Being fawn season is right upon us I am trying to remain cool and collected but I must admit this view made me not so happy .
The one sow that made it past my bud a couple of weeks ago not only ended up with the second litter of piggies , she also gained 4 more ? There was only her 4 and the other sow's 4 originally and now in some photos she has 12 in tow . Go figure right ….
The bucks are growing a bit of horn and the rest of the place looks pretty good even with a lack of rain for the most part . The deer visit every morning the hogs every evening .
The blackberries are on fire and a little on the small side but in numbers for sure .
The wild plums are few and far between and I see about zero pecans this year .
that's the back 40 report for the week ….

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Looks like everything is shaping up nicely. We have had problems with yard dogs to. People want put there pets up and some are just dumped out. Seems like they always show up on the prettiest morning to.

I saw one dog a year ago , a beagle looking one running that same game trail , in the country folks tend to let dogs run everywhere . the problem I have is that they really disrupt the sanctuary effort I am trying to accomplish and if she does breed a coyote her offspring will be REAL bad animals .
Don't know for sure if she is feral as about a mile away on paved road to the north of me there are for sure farm houses that are rented out . She might just be roaming that far, way back when I had a 700 acre place I lived on and my dogs frequently showed up over a mile away ,heck I even had to chain them up when I hunted or about an hour into my hunt here they came ….lol
