Default Methods to the MADNESS maybe ?

My friend and bigtime helper at my place in the country loves to hog hunt . He is dedicated to eradication and them hogs are dedicated to making more faster than he can shoot em….
He buys loads of corn and helps me keep the place up to snuff and cant wait to go sit in that black cylinder blind . So when he mentioned going Friday after work I tossed him the key . He decided to go Saturday morning instead and had him a great time .
Said he got 2 but lost the first one and sent me a photo of the perfect sow he found . I said grab that monster ice chest at the camper and gut it and put ice on it and bring it to me please .
Well I called my bud who wanted to trade a guy in Minnesota a nice hog for a vacation at a lake cabin up that way and he was already gone there and fishing !
So I called the neighbor across the street and said hey , I got a real nice sow pig if you want it and all I want is one ham off it after you butcher it …..
About 2 hours after I gave it 2 him he and his wife were at my front door in rubber aprons with a shoulder and a ham in my nice clean ice chest ….
I then dropped said rinsed ham in my small ice chest and proceeded to make a good brine and this my friends is in fact part of the …..Methods to my Madness …..
You see I could have done all that work myself but in the end I just stayed at the house and let the ham come to me ….
    KABOOM is the word
p.s. stay tuned I got a pile of pecan wood gave to me a while back that all I had to do was stack up and in a day or so I will light said pecan up and apply smoke that that there brined ham …..

said they were running all over the place that morning , hats off to him for dragging it a half mile plus some to his truck .
he don't have 4 wheel drive and that's a must at my place to get back where he was .
but I know he enjoyed it and we will eat it at work for lunch one day this week ….

Stick burners can be a lot of work, but they deliver big time on the taste. Some about an all wood fire

Man that ham in that brine looks excellent!!
    That’s working smarter, not harder.
    What days lunch?
I’m going to be across the border, chasing them striped fish Tuesday morning! LOL
Probably take less than an hour to limit on them.

they bring back memories , a very good friend of mine was a guide up there ,he guides other lakes now , guess who trained him …..not kidding
man did we used to have fun with the stripers back when . and for sure over 10 lbs is a brute of a fish …..
we never did top 30 lbs . but we had a few in the 20 range and its like reeling in a runaway train hyrbridized to a log ….
hope you ketch them well and stay safe my friend .
