Default My turkey season was less than ideal

Since so many people are off work from the coronavirus, the woods were MUCH more crowded than usual. I heard shots at places I never heard shots before. Every day was like Saturday. I never got a mature gobbler in range, even though I hunted more than usual. Tag Soup sucks. Oh, well! Maybe next year. Look out crappie, I'm coming for you.

Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it. I usually kick the turkey's butts, not the other way around. Turkeys can humble a person if they get the chance. It sure was fun to be out as much as I got to hunt this Spring.

My favorite fishing hole opened in early March, then closed 2 weeks later. Not sure when it might reopen. Soon, I hope. The fish ought to be hungry for some hooks. I just hope the crowd goes back to work instead of going fishing where I want to.

I hope the others get tired of getting in your way Ketchn. Good fishing! Take out some revenge on the turkeys for me ET Fish. Don't forget to post his picture here once you bust him.

Horrible year. To the point I quit with 3 weeks left. I believe our season closes this Sunday. But with so many off work, the woods were pounded. We have a liberal limit of 4, I have a feeling that will be reduced next year. Population appears to be trending down and they killed a bunch this year. My guess is we end close to 2 times last years total.

tough year here in northern MO where I have a place. Turkey numbers were meh and wasn't ever a lot of sustained gobbling. Just few in morning and then shut up. were in wierd place where early in season were still having jakes hanging with gobblers and having little dominance pecking but not classic strutting with the girls. With some real weakness this year couldn't do what I normally do run the ridges and chase. had to just do a little stroll and meander and listen but mostly turned into bird watching with no action. Oh well I murdered the crappie so there is that! Is what I love about turkey time, if they are gobbling and coming to the calls you hunt, if not the crappie are sure entertaining!

Same hear in Alabama. They started early so the first 2 weeks was good but after that it as slow. Lots of people in the woods and the water craziest thing I've ever seen. I did manage one bird first trip but after that nothing

All I am seeing right now is hens. With forecasted highs in the 80’s this weekend, I pretty much concede!
