    Default FoxPro Inferno

I was just wondering if anyone uses the Inferno for coyote or crow hunting? What's your take on it and favorite sounds for your area to call in those sound dogs? Looking forward to hearing some great information from my crappie family.

I don't call for the coyotes but one of my hunting partners does and if you don't have big fields it doesn't work as well. Not sure witch call he uses. I have done a good deal of crow hunting and it's pretty easy. Pretty much any of the calls work for them. Just got to kill the first crows or you done. If you miss any they aren't coming back.

we do , it clearly says no trespassing ,but they don't pay any attention to them .
so we KABOOM them when we can , all kidding aside we see tracks and camera shots of them off and on and bobcats and a fox rarely

I have a fox pro inferno and call them in all the time! It is an awesome machine. I hunted them hard this year and it seemed like I would do 4-8 sets in a day 2 days a week or so for a couple months. What I have found is.....Most days they dont come in at all, but then on one day you will get one on every set that day. Get ya one and go! When they show up it is a rush that only a turkey can top!

Look up MFK calls on youtube. They call them in close in thickets. Pretty impressive.

Which sounds have you had the best luck with and how long do you run them before muting or pausing?

Eastern cottontail, adult cottontail, baybee cottontail, weeping woodpecker, vole squeaks,

I start off with these and different from set up to set up.

I start off with something quieter like the hole squeaks or the baybee cottontail then increase with more loud obnoxious noises.

then after I shoot or if I got a good feeling one is close but he will not come I throw in the coy pup distresses

I can not tell you how many I have killed then switch over to that immediately and 2 or 3 more come running in!

I start noises and give em 5 minutes or so before switching to another noise. I usually run 3-4 noises per set and I don’t pause. I go from one to the other.

then I use the coon fighting noises outside of den trees that I think a coon is in. If he is in the tree he will be out in 5 minutes or less.

and then thee crow fights will bring those right in in minutes too

im from southeast arkansas where it’s mostly hardwoods. I have been told that makes for poor coyote hunting conditions. And it may be.....but I get enough action to stay after em! Wind is the biggest game.

Thanks for that information and it's a lot of hardwoods where I hunt in Alabama too.
