    Default Word is OUT !

The deer have us pegged ! As soon as season is over here comes a buck I would have been really happy to have collected ! He has forked g2 and g3 both sides and I sure would have liked to see him during the season .
I knew he was around ,but have only seen him on camera at night one time during the season and once during the daylight this year before season .
This is a still shot from a video and the 2 other times I got glimpses of him I had no idea he was anything other than a nice tall 8 point .
He and 2 other bucks came to visit last week and as always long after I would have waited for him at 10:30 am ….go figure

Funny how that happens. When working night shift I used to get home in time to see a monster of a buck cross a plowed under row crop feild to spend his day in a 20' × 20' area of brush around an old tree. Every morning at day break during hunting season for 4 years I lived there

Our nocturnal bucks get big too It seems the only thing they get shot by are game cameras.

Most of the bucks that come to my salt are only seen by the camera at night.

Consider yourself lucky, our deer began shedding their antlers weeks ago,I have trail cam pics of some of our bucks shedding while season was still in.last season the bucks were still sporting antlers at the end of February, nice to see them still around though.

Yaker, if I remember right, antler shedding and overall deer health are associated
Our deer here in Oklahoma normally shed in March.
