shedding from what I have seen in the past depends on several factors and yes health plays into it .
but also depending on what part of the country the deer live in has play in it as well .
we raised some Kansas bucks inside a high fence years ago that shed in January .
and I have seen a few wild versions in Texas that had horns in early April .
I don't remember exactly when they shed last year on our place .
I do know they all dropped within about 2 weeks or so of each other as I remember .

Our shedding timetable Varys every year it seems, not sure the reasons.I do know the food source in my area hasn’t changed in my area, but antler shedding does.I hope to pick up some sheds of the big ones that eluded us for the most part, show us any sheds ya find when they fall.

I rarely if ever find sheds , in the almost 2 years we had our place I have found only 3 .
squirrels are a shed hunters nightmare . they can eat a shed really fast .
