Default How could you do that to a beautiful deer ?

and I would respond ...Its really not that difficult or complicated to do
just heat up the gas grill and leave said fillet dry tenderizing a few days in the frig .
slice up a few veggies ...
then lightly sear all the items on a real hot grill
let the fillet rest a bit with a light spicy glaze under foil on a plate …
then happily consume said beautiful deer and veggies …..
    that's how I could do it ….
p.s. yes its rather rare as should be for the less informed on venison fillets

Excellent example of which one to take out of the herd.

That looks delicious! A few years ago, I saved an entire venison filet and marinated it in Allegro, then wrapped it completely in bacon and put it on the smoker for a few hours. I got one slice of it while I was cutting it up; the Thanksgiving crew at our house cleaned up the rest of it. It was good, though. I just usually slice, tenderize, and fry mine the way grandma always did.

    Where do you live......exactly.

I've answered that same question many a time over the many years that I hunted... and in very much the same way as you did.
    Looks awesome brother.
