I forgot to mention the dummy cameras by Spypoint, are completely empty on the inside, so to add weight to make them feel real I inserted zip lock bag with gravel from my driveway so the would seem legitimate, I also inserted a cheap padlock from harbor freight hoping this would encourage them to take it home with them.
Also i was inspired by a guy I found on YouTube whose channel is called Robot Kitchen he has hundreds of videos on how to hide cameras and videos of catching illegal dumpers. I will insert a link to one of his videos. Camouflaging trail cameras - YouTube

Great idea with the metal strap. Good luck. I hope you nail them to the wall. Just don't let them sweet talk you out of prosecuting.

Furflyin, thanks! There won’t be any sweet talking, I told my wife I needed to get more use out of the suit I bought when my daughter was baptized. I only wear to church on Christmas and Easter. I’d like to see how it wears in the court house

Some trashy people were dumping their garbage on our farm a few years ago. We went through the black trash bags and found some of their mail......took it to the sheriff and they said there was no proof that they were the ones who dumped it there. WHAT??? How else would it have got there? Anyway, to make a long story short, my dad and I went to the address on the mail and the people whose name was on the mail weren't living there anymore. I guess they fled the area. No further problems, but we do have young people coming on our property and partying, building campfires, throwing bottles & cans down, but no poachers that we know of.

I’m currently experimenting with different techniques,I can’t bring myself to glue on treebark, though it looks to camo one well.Today I covered one of my cameras with an old turkey hunting face mask,I never cut any holes in it,just draped it right over the eye, sensor and infrared.I set it up indoors first, the pics look as clear as if it was uncovered.
I then took it outside,it is foggy and rainy today, again I covered the whole camera with the camo netting face mask, pics came out as clear as if it was uncovered.I will hang the covered camera in the dark, and see how well it takes pics.iIm using terra 10’s and 12 cameras by wild game, for those interested.

Well got a quick update, the river has been up lately, only one way to check the camera's and thats via boat. After several freeze and thaws i have noticed the bark and hot glue is starting to fall off, gotta find a different adhesive. No Trespassers or party boats either. Water depth about 10ft.
