Camo looks great, I recently had a card stolen out of one of my cameras,I contacted the land owner, and on a hunch told him who I thought took it.A few hrs later the land owner brought my card back,he stated the lady that stole it told him she was was sneaking a smoke down an old logging road, and didn’t want her husband to know.
The land owner ask if I could show him what was on the camera,to both our surprise there were two ladies on the card, let’s just say,I’m glad I didn’t have it set to video

I am with the crowd that don't understand why trespassing aint a big deal in the justice system ….
had me a second round of shooters at my place a week ago ….seems target practice on buckets inside my fence line is ok as well .
of course I yelled at em and they left in a hurry , but to be sure I doubt any local court system will do much if I try to prosecute them .
the cameras look great though for sure ….hope it turns out well for you .

Yeah you've got me hooked on this thread now. That 1st camera(Browning) ain't cheap. I've got 3 and love them. Do you use those python cable locks? If not you need to, they're great!! What kind are you using for the bait camera? Hope not the Browning. Please keep us updated.

So Ketchn they hung buckets on the fence and shot at them towards your property? Would that not be illegal? What if someone got hit by a bullet on your property? Stupid people

I've camoed some cameras before, but the strap still gives them away if you aren't careful.

Best luck I've had is to put the real cameras 10-12 feet high, looking down at an angle.

IIRC in AL, theft of something as cheap as a game camera would be a misdemeanor too.

Hope it works out for you. If you catch them hunting then there will be more teeth to the charges, or at least that's the way our laws are.

I would agree they ain’t bright candles ....I put up a no trespassing sign where the bucket full of bullet holes was after I put it back over the fence on their side and this week it’s back over on my side of the fence ....me thinks they want trouble and I would rather avoid it ....hopefully it turns out well but it ain’t off to a great start for sure

Friend of mine that is head of district DNR here in Indiana informed me, and they know who it is, couple of guys now using thermal imaging and silencers on rifles to poach deer around where I live and hunt. Technology is making it hard for DNR to catch them in the act. These guys will go to no end to poach and shoot anything that moves. Good luck on your fight to preserve what you have to hunt and stay safe. Hard to set up at night and catch poachers if thermal imaging is going to also give a human away at nite. If we get a pic of a trespasser on a trail cam, and turn it over to our DNR, our prosecutors do get them for trespassing and it’s a 150.00 fine. At least that works in our favor here.

In my opinion there are 2 obvious giveaways to trail cameras, 1 is the strap or cables, 2 is the IR flash. I chose the Browning black out versions for my cameras because the IR flash is undetectable by the human eye, secondly there small with less flash area which means more room for real bark glue area. I would call them middle of the road price between 120-170 each. Some cameras are 3-400 which is to much for me. So I decided to eliminate the straps all together. I cut 1 inch metal bands out of sheet metal, painted them!

Then I slid the band through the back of the camera and glued bark to the band.Name: IMG_5069.jpg

I use security but screws to fasten the band to the tree. This eliminated being spotted by the strap. As for the dummy cameras I use some old broken cameras that I had kept, but I also purchased some dummy cameras made by Spypoint. The lens areas are clear so I spray painted them black
