    Default Grinning Buck

I swear this guy looks like he's grinning! You may have to zoom in on him.

I see him nearly every time I go sit there. He's a 4 point with no eye guards. He'll be a 6 or 8 next year.........and he'll probably be nowhere to be found!

Checking trail cams is much like opening Christmas gifts, plus it's always a reward to have a deer on camera that you also kill, gives you a double memory, hope you get that chance when it's time.
We filmed an odd buck over several months, it appeared both antlers grew upside down around his head.We named this buck Mr Twister, finally toward the end of the season,my oldest daughter shot him.Turns out both his antlers were broken off deep into his scull, both hung down under his chin, giving the appearence they grew upside down.
The damage was so severe,we are positive he would have never grown another set of antlers, yes the mystery of Mr Twister was solved, thanks to trail cams.

I'm bad about making pets out of them. This year, it's this one who I call "Youngbuck" and a big 6-point I call "Old Sixer", and I have a spike named "Spikey" at one of my other stands that comes regularly. There's also a little toehead, his Mama, and another big doe that come every afternoon around 4:45. They're like clockwork! I've watched them so much, I would hate to know if and when I kill them next year. They won't look like the same deer anyway, so I'll probably never even know.

If it keeps raining around here, he will! I think all the water we've got lately has run all the hogs off to higher ground.
