    Default First opening weekend


    First time in a long time I didn’t see one deer in the stand all weekend long. Hope it’s not a sign of what’s to come for me this season (which I’m sure it’s not) just had a bad weekend. Going back Wednesday to sit all day on my off day.

    I’ve never seen a deer in my stand. Don’t think they can climb that high. LOL
    Sorry Bcline, couldn’t help myself.

    I had the opposite problem, but no shooter bucks.

    It’s plenty of deer down there just picked bad spots to hunt I was putting myself away from the better places because of this crud I knew I would cough at some point with this stupid bronchitis so that didn’t help me at all. Lol

    The coughing sure did not help,I saw 3 does sat. Morning and 1 doe in the evening no bucks.Going in the morning (Tues.)

    Good luck to ya. And yeah hate having this crud but wasn’t gonna miss it and was hoping the couple hours I could sit and fight off the coughing I would see something but nada.

    I've seen lots of deer so far; lots of small bucks. My son took a fair 8 point opening Saturday afternoon. He was home from college and wanted to shoot one, so he did. Deer steaks were good!
