    Default rubs and scrapes

I sometimes hear folks discussing rubs and scrapes and often her fellas referring to a rub as a scrape.
a rub is a tree that is used like a sign post to tell other deer in the area that I and or we are here and it is marked with scent from glands on the head and of course rubbed with antlers until its often barkless on one side .
a scrape is a bird of a different color and is typically a "deer forum" in that lots of deer not just a few bucks will visit it . it is marked with scent from the other end and urine as well and is a community area that all the deer might visit at some point . it occurs under trees in most cases along the drip line of the tree where its branches hang low enough to reach .
anyway I thought I might show yawl a few photos of a young buck who stopped in to say hello the other deer . about 7 does went by this scrape before him that morning .
and then a couple of here they come piggy photos for grins
hope you have a great day

Deer around here can't relax long enough to take time to say hello or come out in the open until after dark! Good pictures! Thanks
