I'm using a Burris 3X9 compact that I put on my 10/22 about 30 years ago.

A 22lr really needs an adjustable objective scope. Nikon makes a very nice little 3-9 power with an AO that is priced right and many people love it. I found an awesome deal on a 2-7x35 Burris FFII and put it on my 10-22 international. Fits nice and low but still clears the rear sight with the factory ruger base and Burris medium rings.

Windstone-Ive got a 452 trainer that is quite possibly my favorite rifle. I had a scope on it once but took it off because there was no challenge in hitting anything inside 50 yards. I've been shooting the factory tangent sight ever since and absolutely love it. CZs are fine machines.

tell you what, had a 1022 and like a boat best day when i bought it, second best day when i sold it. it was so picky and i invested way more money in it than i should have. I have had my 452 for over 10 years, killed a sack full of squirrels with it over my feists, never had a jam or misfire and have never had to readjust the scope once..

I have several 22 rifles . I was a die hard 552 Remington speed master guy for years .Switched about 10 yrs ago. I have never had a problem with Ruger (anything ). Only thing I do is a trigger job since most come set at 6 lbs. Bought this particular gun to give my grandson one day. I do not have a dog and only hunt while leaves are on . These squirrels where I hunt will run like crazy when the leaves get gone . Anybody with a dog want to try them in February, give me a shout . Plenty of squirrels I promise . 4 trips, 3 limits . Was one short one time . Hills of Lafayette county .

If 1-1/2 year old curr turns on like I expect, you might get a call.

Like I said earlier I have a 4x12. I tried a 3x9 but I couldn’t zoom in on an ear. I like to count the whiskers lol
