I'm surprised they don't have wolves in them this early in the year.

Looks like a great trip to the woods chasing bushy tails! I too enjoy squirrel hunting. I was started in the woods with my dad squirrel hunting and graduated to deer hunting when I was old enough to carry a rifle. Killed my first squirrel with a single shot .410 at age 6 and my first deer at age 11 with a old model 94 .30-30. I still have both guns and I plan to pass them on to my children when they are a little bit older.

Squirrel is some fine eating and I enjoy some pan fried squirrel every year. My little girl got her first taste of hunting with me last year at 2.5. It was a short trip in the woods beside the house, but she took a liking to it. This deer season she's been asking to go with me. I plan to take her "hunting" in a blind near the house. We've seen a few deer in the fields around our house and she loses her mind with excitement. But hey, she gets it honest!!!

That’s awesome! The squirrel is almost as big as her.
