they have a way of knowing safe locations
We have a big doe bedding down in the back yard. We go out to look at her and she doesn't even get excited. She looks at us and just beds down. Thinking she thinks it's a safe place to watch her youn ins.

I wish I could pull pictures from face book and post. I have a friend that lives in the mountains of Colorado. They have huge mule dear that come up on the porch, browse on there bushes around the house and bed down in front yard. They can actually walk out in the yard and take pictures of them with out them being disturbed at all. Neighbor just below me has white tail bed down in his front yard this time of year.
Lol...good one mac
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I live in a woods and during deer season, all is fare in love and war! One year shot a big buck I was chasing off the front porch as he was crossing the yard and also shot a doe with a bow thru the aluminum screen window once and had to patch the screen up. I don’t do that anymore and let them slide nowadays but the old saying around here is” if it’s brown, it’s down!
