    Yeah I was gonna say most deer hunters may say they shot a buck running across a field at 500 yard with one well placed shot shot but very few actually have

    ^^^^ This. My longest shot to date on a whitetail has been 118 yards and I bet the average is somewhere in the 50 yard neighborhood. But all my hunting has been Louisiana, Florida and South Carolina.

    A deer at 500 yds. looks much like a beagle dog .

    BigDawgg back in the Seventies if you didn't have a Redfield you same as had nothing. Every one love their Redfields and they was great scopes. I still used one on ML.

    I had two of the 2-7 wide view Redfield that had the tv shape on both ends .When the booster club at McLarin high school gave me a Christmas present of a new Leopold , I gave the last one to a student there who could not afford one .
