I’m going to check into that gun, I use 12 gauge black powder for turkeys and everything, a traditions. Also a 50 cal. T/C Bone Collector for deer backed up with a CVA V2 50 cal pistol, all shooting blackhorn 209. Only thing I use anymore is black powder and make single shot count.

Thanks and have been all over his Facebook site. Many Many moons ago, I had a custom built 60 cal flintlock built by Nebel whom I met at Friendship, barrel is green river, stock was swirley maple, took 9 deer with it before selling it to a friend that always hounded me for it. Bestill Creations makes some really great looking guns and am totally impressed. Will definitely check him out when I get time.

Nobody makes a black powder shotgun that will shoot blackhorn 209 unless I suppose custom built. I took and enlarged the flash hole in the breech plug of a traditions 12 gauge to ignite blackhorn 209 and it works to perfection. I did that several yrs ago so maybe there is something on the market now that will accept using blackhorn 209. I don’t keep up with the black powder news much anymore as all the guys I used to shoot with at Friendship in the 70’s and early 80’s are long gone.

I don't know of any off the top of my head that can shoot 209, they don't really recommend shooting it in plunger style guns or anything with a nipple as creates too much back pressure. Some guys have shot it in percussion guns with a small charge of black under it and has worked as long as small charges are used otherwise it will recock the gun after firing due to back pressure with larger charges, same deal with older plunger style inlines like Knight MK-85, Wolverines etc.. been a few guys get caps or 209 primers embedded in their forehead from it blowing fragments back due to pressure.

black powder for squirrels? Dude you are hard core! Love me some squirrel hunting and unfortunately due to wife's tests and recovery havn't made it out yet and it is driving me crazier than usual. LOVE fried young squirrel and there is nothing better except doves done right. rabbit is next of the small game.

Love rabbit had beagles for over 40 yrs, I hunt squirrel with high end springer air rifles more then I do with black powder.. hunted for years with a .22 rim fire or pistol then started air gun hunting, no different then with a .22 rim fire other then you lose maybe 10-15 yds in distance.. have killed squirrels at 40 yds with air rifle and head shots.
I like hunting squirrels or rabbits with about anything legal.
I do like dove or even young pigeon fixed right but have to go with squirrel then rabbit as my favorite.

here you go, Boyds Classic walnut stock, pillar bedded w/Omega action and custom Rice barrel. Gun is 39 3/4 in long and weighs about 8# or so with scope.
Will put 3 shots into less then a dime at 30 yds. Attaching pic of 1st 3 shots taken by Jeff and his friend after zeroing.
