Wow!
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Here is something interesting for you. Over the last several years, I've kept track of when the deer go hard horned and come out of velvet. This year was the night of the 9th of September. Last year was the 11th and the year before that was the 10th. I've seen it go as late as the 14th. Although we are seperated by some distance, it appears that the majority of your deer lost velvet at or around the same time.

That is about typical for us. I did have one that was hard horn on August 27 but typically it is after September 5 for the majority of them. I still have one 6pt that is still in velvet and still bulbed tips (deer that is in 8th and 9th pic...).

Great pictures Scott. I bet your daughter is going crazy seeing the pics and having to go play ball.

Any of those will do nicely.
She understands that as long as we are not there messing with them they will not go anywhere until rut. We actually have ball the next 2 Saturdays, Illinois trip the next weekend, and then ball 2 more Saturdays after that... It may be good that we ae not there to pressure them. Well, I a can assure you I will be taking some days off work to apply a little pressure...
