    Default No deer yet !!

Opening weekend of bow season was this weekend in our zone.....whew, it's way too hot. The hogs have really pushed my deer activity away and have become a nuisance. With all the rain & high water this year, the hogs are up farther than they have been in the past. Did not see any deer all weekend but was able to take a boar with a bow for the first time. I have always trapped them or shot them in the past, I have plenty more to pick from and will be taking out as many as I can. I have moved my main stand closer to some deer sign, hopefully before bow season is over I''l be able to take a deer.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Deer really don't like those stinky pigs... But they do eat their weight in snakes every year
