I think the hogs are very human scent sensitive , not sure but I have a suspicion ,they seem to not come around on the cameras till we have been gone a few days and then show up in low numbers at midnight before they start visiting in the light a few days later .

In my area feeding just makes all the deer nocturnal. We quite feeding a long time ago and started seeing more deer. I know in Texas it's must but we do better with good green fields.

I think a hog probably has a more acute or as acute of a sniffer as a deer …..
and for sure as much brain power and or more than a deer ….
and animals that get lots of hunting pressure are really tough to hunt it seems to me
and for sure that part of the world gets some serious all kinds of hunting pressure

Not only do I agree , I think you might be down playing it. The pigs in my area are problem solving smart. A nose way better than a old buck.

pigs are for sure real smart animals and we are taking my trap over there this morning and see just how smart . if they are like the ones from about 8 miles up the road I bet it aint easy to trap one either …..
