    I’d agree with finding an older gun that’s a little heavier. Will help with recoil. Also a semi automatic will help with recoil.

    243 is the best for women and anybody for deer.

    I love my .243 as well and no problem dropping big game with it. Deer don't travel far once hit.

    Ballistically speaking the 6.5 creedmore is hard to beat if it even can. Ammo is getting more available for it but it aint everywhere YET.

    Thanks for the replies.... she decided to go with a Savage 6.5 Creedmoor will try the Win. 125gr for deer.She liked the feel and the reviews it gets.She most likely will go only when the weather is nice.Academy had a good price so we bought today before sale ends.They only had 1 in stock the guy said the 6.5 Creedmoor sells good.

    Walmart in my town has 3 choices to choose from.Sure we can find it easy in Baton Rouge a short drive from home.

    22-250 is a great choice if she is a excellent shot. Shot placement is very narrow. I have killed a lot of does with one but it would not be my first choice if I was buck hunting. Head shots on hogs is OK too.
