the .25-06 is the AT&T rifle !!! "reach out and touch someone" AWESOME weapon for sure !!! 100 grain bullet would put the hurt on any deer standing & they WON'T be standing long !!!! great weapon !!! CONGRATS !!!!!

Congrats. Have a 94 year old church member that still hunts with his and have literally harvested countless animals with it both game and varmit. You will enjoy it.

The guys I used to hunt with in south Texas used it all the time. They shot year round and were very good shots.They liked neck shots. I killed a deer at 600 yards that never took step, so a 25-06 is good for deer. The 6.5 Creedmore is the darling of the shooting crowd now so you are good to go.

I hope the 120 gr. will do the job since he also gave me 9 boxes of Remington core-locks .He is a dear friend that got some terrible news and wanted me to have this rifle from his collection . 26 inch barrel and a high end Nikon as well . I plan to use it from now on in his memory .

You just need to try the core-locks on paper to see if they will do the job. Rifles are like people,some like one brand and another likes another. If they won't group, just try another until you find one it likes. When you find one, it will make you a fine hunting rifle.

I figure it will shoot them as he had 15-20 rifles and had various specific ammo for each . He bought 8 boxes of each a few yrs. ago .

A fine caliber for sure, light kick and a deadly medium game slayer. You will enjoy his memory with that gun for your lifetime. I love the classic design, I have one in 257 Roberts. A deer killer also.
