    Never seen one, how big is the bullet? About the size of a 270?

    It’s slightly shorter lengthwise to a 30 06 ....with a 25 caliber bullet ....was very common back when out west and around texas as well ....
    Will flat smoke a deer or antelope right quickly

    Nice caliber,core locks have killed much game though I'm not a huge fan of them.Go ahead and shoot them on the range and in the field,but may I suggest doing some research on different loads and bullets,I betcha you will be able to make it an even better deer gun.

    Fantastic caliber and fantastic rifle. Try the corelockts and see how they do, that caliber/rifle combination should easily be less than MOA. My brother in law uses that exact set with Leupold VX!!! 4X12 and it shoots amazing. Deer do not like it, puts them to sleep real quick.

    That as very kind of your friend. I think I would say with the 120gs the lighter loads want punch through the shoulder on larger buck. It's is a great round but not as much punch as a 270 or 30/06.

    YOU GOT THAT RIGHT !!!! .25-06 is the Finest Shooting Weapon there is by far !!!!

    I agree. I wouldn't go any lighter than 120g I would rather have and exit just incase.
