    Default Anyone Shoot Skeet

I was wondering who all shoots skeet during the down time of hunting? This will be my first time out so I'm trying to decided which 12 Gauge ammo to purchase. I see how skeet, trap, sporting clay's or 5 step would make a fun hobby.

If you shoot it how do you cook it?

JK: I used to shoot trap, skeet and sporting clays. Be careful as it can get expensive.

It looks pretty fun from what I have seen on YouTube and talking with people who have done it. I also see how it can get expensive to with the nice shotguns and other accessories.

Most will use #9s, or #8s.....and a 2 3/4, or 3 dr. Load...the birds are close, no need for heavy loads..most people will start with a skeet, or I/C choked 26 inch barrel. Main thing on the gun is to get one that fits you well. These all started as hunter games..Use the gun you hunt with..

Don't worry about fancy guns, ect...Just like crappie fishing..Most are designed to catch the person using them...The best advice I can give you is spend a couple of days with a qualified COACH...not just a person that shoots well...There is no need to practice mistakes in form, ect....You will be many hours and dollars ahead.
