    I still need to paint it and build the stairs. It has been a long time since I have had to cut a set of stairs so I will need to look that part up to refresh my memory. I think it is going to make an excellent box blind in my unbiased opinion.

    Nice build ! That is a lot of hard work and now you say you will disassemble for transport ? I have a few stands that are similar design, All wood.
    The last few I started using angle iron for the main frame and ladder. I add the wood sides and roof at the hunting location.

    The reason I built it at home was so that the only tools I needed to carry to the lease was a screw gun and a few wrenches and a level. The 1/4 inch sliding windows are dado cut into the window frames. I originally planed to use plexiglass but that proved to be cost prohibitive. It was a lot of work and I wasn’t sure I could do it by myself at first. I am retired so it gave me something to do. I built it for a friend at his request. His carpentry skills rank up there along with the avarage ardvark. I suppose I just insulted a lot of ardvarks. .
