    Default Pellet trap

I'm looking for plans to build a 3 position pellet trap with casters. Each trap will hold a target or 2 for pron, kneeling, and standing.

To wide, not 3 position, not tall enough.

I went to school today and measured their pellet trap. It stands 67" tall, 34" wide, 20" deep at the base and 2 1/2" deep at the top. It's made of 3/4" plywood. The box is 62" tall, with a few extra screws and glue I figure $595 for 10 traps.
I've got to look at casters that will give a 5" space. Sheet metal 1/8" X 32 1/2" X 60" for the back drop. Sheet metal 1/8" X 32 1/2" X 29" and someone that will fold it for the catch pan. Add the screws to attach the back drop and liquid nail to hold it solid. I hope we can build these for $125 each.

A note from school this morning. The board of education wants to stop funding the ROTC program.

A misunderstanding. Members of the JROTC units met with the new school board members to show how much the like the program.
The booster club is being reorganized and tax exempt status applied for.
The Lt. Col. has applied for a grant for 20 target traps through the NRA.

When they look at cuts they always cut the good programs. Many regular schools in our State when doing budget cuts always cut music and arts but they always leave the sports and to me that's just wrong!

Our local school has a .22 rifle team and some of these kids have gotten so good they're buying the fancy competition models. They shoot at Norwich University a private military college. They have a great booster club and they raise lots of money.

Good luck on getting the stuff for the kids!!

The Lt. Col. has applied for a grant through the NRA. Now waiting before gathering material and start construction. The JROTC students will do the construction.
Home Depot will cut the plywood, more than 2 cuts per sheet at no extra charge, per manager. They can't cut the angled side pieces, they county work shop will cut them with students from the school.
The booster club is trying to apply for tax exempt. They need a person or company to back them with $1500.
