    Thanks for the story. Simpler does have its advantages and sometimes we miss the joy of that by trying to use too much.

    Good read and nice job catching. The simpler does work. When I was young, broke and had 3 boys wanting to go fishing I had to trade around for old junk boats and fix them up where they would get me and the boys out on the water. Wound up buying 2 canoes and we used them for years. Thanks for the write up I enjoyed the read.

    Nice mess of fish and a good story. I've fixed my 24 year old canoe up with a homemade motor mount and got me a Minn Kota 30lb trolling motor and I'm ready to hit the smaller lakes like I grew up fishing.
