Admirable act, future sportsmen will long remember such deeds. Thank you for them.

May I suggest contacting your fish and game folks? They may have programs for kids or be able to point you in the right direction.

That is an awesome gesture and you will be richly blessed for your efforts. I would suggest you also contact your local Boys and Girls scout troops, boys and girls clubs, elementary school principals, and church pastors. That is what I do.

Every spring, Bass Pro/Cabela’s has their big “Spring Classic” sale. They will take any unwanted rods and reels you have and pass them on to youth/scouting groups.

As a bonus, for every rod/reel you bring in, they will give you a discount coupon for a new rod/reel. It’s a great way to upgrade your tackle and help someone else at the same time. Can’t beat that! LOL

When we used to do the material swap box when everyone got tired of the cost of mailing it we split it up. One went to Casting Kids and one to VT Fish and Wildlife. Kids had lots of good stuff to try!!

Hey, that's a great initiative! It's awesome to see you wanting to donate your fishing tackle to needy kids. They'll surely appreciate it! While browsing online for information on how to raise kids, I came across an article about supporting foster parents. It had some valuable insights into making a positive impact on children's lives. You can check it out at What it Takes - Foster Plus
As for your donation, I suggest reaching out to local organizations or community centers that support underprivileged children. They might have programs or initiatives where your fishing tackle could make a real difference. You can send them a private message to inquire about their specific needs and how you can contribute.

I'll second the reaching out to Scout units or your local Council. They usually run day camps for Cubs and always need gear/tackle.
