Good neighbors are a blessing.
We got about three inches yesterday evening. Right about dark I could hear somebody shoveling and I went out on the front porch to see my neighbor Joe cleaning his sidewalk. I jokingly yelled "when your done come over and do mine." He laughed and I went back inside and down to the basement(Man Cave). When I got up this morning my driveway and sidewalk were cleaned off .My buddy Joe will have lunch bought for him this week. Good neighbors are such a blessing.

A good neighbor indeed! I remember as a kid when snow was heavy that us kids would just move down the block digging out cars so folks could get to work. It was something to do and we had fun and snowball fights as we did it. Didn’t realize til many years later what a chore it was for some folks.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I would offer to take him crappie fishing this weekend if you are going. If he isn't a fisherman, bring him a few bags of fillets.
I too snow blow my neighbor's sidewalks and driveways for them as I have a big self propelled snowblower and and I'm already out there and might as well help them out. A few weeks ago I saw the single mom neighbor outside doing yardwork when I was taking three bags of fillets out to the garage freezer. I gave her two and didn't think twice.
This past weekend she had her HUGE pin oak cut down and asked if I wanted any wood. This tree was near 5' diameter and must have been a couple hundred years old. She knocked on my door and asked whether I wanted any wood all cut up in neatly stacked 12-18" length logs.
I now have enough wood to last me the rest of my life (I'm 56). The bad part is going to be splitting all that wood in the fall.
My other neighbor stopped by In March and gave me a nice thank you card with a $50 gift card in it. They smoked heavily all their life and aren't in the best of health.
I truly believe in karma. What goes around comes around. We all need to take care of each other, especially with all the crap going on in the world today.
