This is a new one on me how does a spark plug free up a hung up jig
Yesterday I needed to replace spark plug I use to free hung jigs. I stopped into a famous auto supply and told the middle aged man to get me 1 of his cheapest single fire spark plugs. He looked at me funny and asked me the make and model of the car. I said none it is for fishing. He looked at me even stranger. Then he said ok then what kind of outboard ? Again I said none. He was totally confused now and said I give... whats up? I explained the use of the spark plug to him and he laughed and shook his head. He handed me a spark plug and said he was over stocked on that one and it was on the house. I thanked him and offered to pay. He said no I'm a fisherman too. You taught me something today so its on the house. I smiled and felt good about the interaction.

Be safe and good luck fishing
You put the line in the gap's L and close the gap, then drop the spark plug down the line ... to either knock the jig free upon contact, or use it as a weight to jig up/down and free the jig.
It's kinda like a free floating "lure knocker", since there's no string attached to the knocker (weight). Or like the lead weight melted on a paperclip thingy, that I've seen for sale at bait stores .... same principle.

1oz bank sinker with a snap on it works well too.
Thanks for that.
