Default 100 Random Acts of Kindness

Slab challenged us, and it is as good a time as any to step up if you can. I am fortunate enough to fish a couple days each week almost year round, and while I release a lot of fish, I keep my share to clean, freeze, and eat. This year I have already caught several nice messes of Crappie, gave most to my mother and the ladies at work, but I still have a lot of fillets in the freezer from last year. So time to share with those that cannot fish or have the means to fish. Today I am doing a double delivery, first one to a younger couple that the wife works where I do. Her husband was diagnosed just this year with Lymphoma, and they have a young son. I have given them fish before, but I realize with him being immunocompromised right now, a couple good bags of fillets would definitely help out.

The next delivery is to an elderly lady who has retired and is fighting diabetes. Her husband passed away a couple years ago and she sat for and helped take care of my MIL when she broke her leg. She found out I fished and asked for some fillets, and ever since then I have given her several bags also.

If you have some extra to share, please do so. It is a good time to help out. Slab challenged us, he didn’t know this Virus stuff was coming, so let’s try to do our part.

I accepted SLABs challenge, and have already passed 100. Here are a few that I have done - some may consider these everyday items, and others may not ever think about them, but here you go! Always open doors for others; say hello, good morning, good afternoon, and good evening; take my neighbor's trash bin up their hill to their spot; take the neighbor's paper to their front door so they don't have to walk up their hill to get it; helped another neighbor run a gas line for his grill; towed in a boat; removed a large log from the middle of the lake; gave fillets to others; gave cans of smoked salmon that I caught in Alaska last year to others; help deliver food to school kids during this pandemic; collected and packaged the food for the needy; pick up trash while I walk the neighborhood; cleaned up piles of dog dodo at the dog park; trim low limbs around signs, paths, and mailboxes in the neighborhood.

    Anyone want to share others??
