    Default Jackson Lake 7-26-24

I’ve been absent on the water for awhile due to the heat and finicky fish but I had the itch last weekend to sore lip a few. I snuck out to my local lake midmorning and was surprised to find fish suspended over the ledges on the main basin. Groups of 10-20 where suspended 12-16’ down in 28-45 fow. I had to downsize the setup to a 1” jig on a 1/32 jighead to get a reaction and the fish preferred it dropping on the edges of the school. Finished the day with 18 good eaters before the sun popped out and the fish stopped feeding and returned to the brush and timber. Once the returned, they got a case of lockjaw.
