Default CRAPPIE IN STANDING TIMBER LAKE OCONEE 10/27/22

I fished Lake Oconee yesterday and had a very good day by my standards. The water was 66-68 degrees. I used livescope to locate the fish and minnows to catch them. The catch results from the last 3 trips were pitiful. I threw every type of jig I had at the fish but they would not bite. My neighbor told me they had been catching plenty of fish using minnows. He was right! The minnows worked and I caught fish all day. At the end of the day I had 15 good fish 11-12.5 inches. I hate to use minnows but a man has to do......... You know the rest. There were fewer wake boats out and I really missed them.

Thanks for the post and sounds like a fun day. Love fishing the timber! How deep were the fish?

10-15 feet any deeper and I was catching fish that had whiskers.
