    Default LAKE OCONEE 9/28/22

I fished Lake Oconee from 9:00 until 4:00 today. I fished the timber and had a decent day. I caught 13 fish that measured 11 inches or better. The water temperature was 78-79 degrees.

I like it so far. It's nice not to have 8 rods to keep up with and I can also fish on days when the winds would prevent me from trolling. For me it's convenient. I do not feel like I have to get up early to go fishing. I left the house at 8:05 a.m. and fished from 9-4. That's like bankers hours. I won't say that I have mastered it but I learn more each time I use it. One thing I have noticed is how the fish react to the bait and the boat. I'm amazed at how far away the bait is when the fish begin to see/sense it. I've never played a video game but I think it is similar. When the fish move off the timber I hope I can figure out how to fish to scattered fish. I plan to learn more this week. It's like the man who jumped off the a 10 story building. When he got to the 5th floor people heard him shout "so far so good".
