Default Lake Blackshear mixed bag 8-2

Finally got time to go fishing...No crappie, but its fish.

Fished from sunrise to 130 pm had a decent day despite getting a treble hook through my finger and getting finned by the same catfish that put the hook in me.

The bream...used 50 crickets up, alot of small ones but caught a decent mess of eaters.

The Catfish...caught on stanky cheese, left them biting as my finger was getting a tad bit sore

The hook through my finger...catfish and my hand was attached by this hook, then go finned in my right hand at the base of the thumb, was then attached to the cat that way as well...it was starting to get a tad bit worrying as I was by myself...so I snatch the fin out, (yeah that caused a few cuss words to be said) then managed to cut the line and unhook the cat...hook went all the way through past barb...used my gerber to cut it off and hook came out. Cleaned up with alcohol pads, put a band aid on and kept fishing.

Despite all that...it was a good morning on the water.

Good to see a post on Blackshear. Probably go in couple weeks to run boat/check out few trash piles. Good catch….

All of the fish made the catfish disaster worth while.
